Dr. Pin Fei Tang
Cellist, Teacher and International String Music Judge
Dr. Pin Fei Tang graduated from the Claremont Graduate University with her Doctor of Music and Art in May 2024. She obtained her Master of Music from the University of Illinois at Urbana-champion and the Peabody Music Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University for her Artist Diploma.

Professor Evelyn Elsing and the Guarneri String Quartet.
She was the first prize winner of the Rolland String Competition while she was in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champion.
She has taught cello and chamber music at La Sierra University since 1995, Cal State Los Angeles since 2015, and Azusa Pacific University in 2019.
Dr. Tang is actively involved in stage performance for chamber music and solo, also been frequently invited to judge competitions and teach at music festivals such as American String Teachers Association Competition, the 6th China National Cello Competition in Beijing China, CMTANC International Youth Music Competition in San Jose, the 1st Schoenfeld International String Competition in Hong Kong, Steinway Midsummer Music Festival, the International String Music Summer Festival in Vancouver, Canada and the Montecito International Music Festival in Santa Barbara.
Over those years of teaching, Pin Fei has brought students to achieve the goal of winning cello solo and chamber music competitions including the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition, Schoenfeld International String Competition, Enkor International Music Competition and etc.
Dr. Tang also obtained the Excellent Teacher’s Award at the American Protégé International Music Competition Carnegie Hall 2013. Distinguished Teacher’s Award of 1st Schoenfeld International String Competition in Hong Kong China 2013.
